When you email rlogan@malvernhouse.org or call us, we collect what we need to decide whether the house is a fit and to manage your residency: your name, contact information, anticipated move-in date, an emergency contact, your current sobriety, confirmation that nonmedical recovery housing is right for you, and your willingness to follow house rules. Once you move in, we also keep payment information. Anything else you choose to tell us stays confidential.

When you visit this site, our host (Vercel) records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, page visited, timestamp. These logs are kept for security and basic traffic analytics.

Application information is used to decide whether Malvern House is a fit for you, and to plan your move-in if it is. If you ask us to talk with someone on your behalf, such as a sober coach, a court liaison, or an outside provider you work with, we share only what’s needed and only with your written permission.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not run remarketing pixels.

Application emails are kept for as long as you are a resident plus three years after move-out, which matches the records-retention practices recommended for sober-living houses. After that, we delete or de-identify the records.

Server logs roll off after 30 days unless retained longer for a security investigation.

Once you are a resident of Malvern House, additional records exist: drug and alcohol test results (used for house-rule compliance and residency, not diagnosis or treatment), house-meeting attendance, residency agreement and payment records, and incident notes. These are kept secure and shared with you, and with a family member only with your explicit permission.

We disclose resident information to outside parties only with appropriate authorization or when disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law. Information received from substance use treatment providers may be subject to additional federal confidentiality restrictions.

Malvern House provides nonclinical recovery housing. We do not provide medical or behavioral health treatment and do not bill health insurance. We nevertheless treat applicant and resident information as confidential and safeguard it in accordance with our policies and applicable law.

Malvern House provides recovery housing, not substance use disorder treatment. We do not diagnose or treat substance use disorders, or provide counseling, medical care, medication management, clinical assessments, or clinical case management. Residents independently choose and arrange any treatment, therapy, medical care, recovery meetings, or other outside services they wish to use.

You can ask us at any time: what information we have on you, what we have shared and with whom, and to delete records that are not legally required to retain. Email rlogan@malvernhouse.org with the subject “Records request” and we will respond within ten business days.

This site does not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, or third-party analytics that drop cookies. If we add traffic analytics, we will use a cookieless tool (Plausible or Vercel Analytics) and update this page.
